Overview
Installment labels let you control what your clients see when they're reviewing and authorizing payments with installment schedules.
Instead of generic installment names, you can use labels like "Deposit" or a traveler's name to make the payment schedule clearer.
How it works
Each installment on a payment schedule has a pencil icon next to it. Clicking that icon lets you rename the label for that installment. The custom label then appears on the pricing schedule tab, on generated invoices, and during the authorization flow for travelers.
Note: Once an installment is authorized, it becomes a "payment" everywhere it appears, including on the traveler's pricing tab. Custom labels are only visible before authorization and do not appear on the PDF receipt.
When to use this
Renaming for clarity. If your payment schedule has one upfront payment followed by additional installments, you can label the first one "Deposit" and the rest "Installment 1," "Installment 2," etc.
Coordinating payments across multiple travelers. If different people in a group are responsible for different installments, you can label each one with a traveler's name (e.g., "Katie" and "Molly") as a signal for who should authorize what.
Note: Labeling an installment with a traveler's name does not assign it to them. All travelers will still see all installments. The label is a visual cue only.
Steps
Go to the booking and open the payment schedule.
Set the payment schedule to "installments"
Click the pencil icon next to the installment you want to relabel.
Enter your custom label and save.
Confirm the label by generating an invoice or checking the pricing tab. The label will appear for both you and the traveler.
