Does Tern send flight notifications for manually added flights?

No, Tern only sends flight notification for schedule updates for "Smart Flights"

No, Tern only keeps flight details up to date / sends flight status alerts for "Smart Flights"

A "smart flight" is any flight you enter through our default path - by putting in the airline, flight number, and clicking 'search'. This pulls in flight data from our integration partner, FlightStats.

When entering the flight number, use only the numeric portion (for example, enter '5156' for Delta flight DL 5156). Select the airline separately from the airline dropdown. If you include airline code letters in the flight number field, the search may not return results.

If you click to "add flight manually", none of the functionality below will apply.

You'll need to publish your itinerary after you first add a flight

When first adding a new flight or flight let, make sure you click 'publish' on your itinerary. We'll only start sending updates on the flight after that.
