Adding and Managing Agent Commission Rates
Go to Team Settings and invite a new agent or edit an existing.
Once the agent accepts the invitation, their commission rate will default to the standard rate set in Commission Settings.
To customize an agent’s commission rate:
Save changes to update the agent’s commission structure.
You will see the agents active split based on effective date in your Team table.
Tracking Commission Rate Changes Over Time
Agents can have different commission rates based on tenure, performance, or agency policies. The system allows you to:
Define multiple rate tiers with effective dates based on booking date.
Update commission rates for agents when they reach new thresholds.
View historical commission rate changes within each agent’s profile.
Example:
2024 Rate: 50% effective from January 1, 2024.
2025 Rate Tier 1: 70% effective from January 1, 2025.
2025 Rate Tier 2: 90% effective from February 5, 2025.
If you would rather change split percentages based on commission received date (instead of booking date) then you should just update the Split on one Standard Commission Rate.
Applying Commission Rates to Bookings
When an agent logs a booking:
The system will automatically apply their standard commission rate based on the booking date and the effective date in the standard commission rates.
The expected commission split and description will be displayed in the Booking & Pricing Details.
Agents can edit their split if needed, selecting Custom Split.
Managing Commissions from the Agency Admin Side
As an agency admin, you can:
View upcoming bookings with commission details.
Approve or modify commission splits.
Add supplier statements to confirm expected commission amounts.
Reviewing Agent Commissions
Navigate to Commission Tab > Bookings.
Select the booking to review the agent’s expected split.
If a custom split was reported, a callout will notify the admin.
The admin can:
Accept the agent’s custom split by changing the Commission type to custom and updating the Agent Split (%).
Keep the Commission as Standard based on the agents rate set in your settings.
Save and close to finalize the commission reconciliation.
Adjusting an Agent’s Commission Rate Post-Booking
If an agent’s rate changes after a booking was created:
The expected commission split remains based on the original booking date.
The current standard commission rate will reflect the updated percentage on new bookings.
Admins can still apply a custom split when reconciling commissions if needed.
Entering Past Bookings
If an agent submits a booking in the past we will use their split % effective based on that booking date.
