Where you can use gallery photos
Photos in your gallery can be added to itinerary cover images and activity images when building trips. When composing emails, you can attach files from your computer using the attachment button, but the photo gallery is not available in the email editor.
Navigating to the feature
To access your personal photo gallery, navigate to the Library>Photos
Top level actions
From left to right
Toggle: Switch between a larger Gallery View and list Table View
Search Bar: Searches your photos by name, location, or supplier added
Add folder: adds a new folder into your Photos Section (also sub-folders are supported here)
Upload Photos: Select Photos to bring into the section you're within
Uploading Photos
When you upload photos, you can do them individually or in Bulk (up to 100 at a time)
When uploading bulk photos you have the option to apply Location and Supplier to the entire set of photos within that upload.
You can also apply/edit the location and/or supplier at the individual photo level at anytime after you upload.
Upload Methods
Click 'Choose File' to navigate to a photo saved on your computer
Drag and drop photos from your computer into the dotted square area
Copy an image (from computer or online) and paste from your clipboard directly where on the page while the Upload photos window is open
In addition to uploading your own photos, you can search for royalty-free images directly within Tern when adding photos to activities. You can also paste a website URL into an activity, and Tern will use AI to pull images from that page. PPhotos you upload are stored in your gallery and can be reused across all trips in your account, up to a limit of 5,000 photos. When you use a property again in a future trip, photos you previously saved for that property will already be in your library.
After you hit "Upload", your photos may take a moment to process. Feel free to navigate away—just return or refresh the page once the uploading is complete to view your photos.
Photo storage limits
Your personal photo gallery holds up to 5,000 photos. This limit counts only the photos you upload to your own gallery.
Photos that your agency or another advisor shares with you appear under "Shared with Me" and do not count toward your 5,000-photo limit.
If you reach the limit, you'll see this message when you try to upload: "You've reached your photo gallery limit. Delete some photos to make room for new ones, or contact Tern if you need more space."
To free up space, go to Library > Photos and delete photos you no longer need. If you need more than 5,000 photos, contact Tern support.
Shared With me and Community Photo Tabs
Just like other elements of the Library, you have the ability to share with other individuals/Your agency (Shared with Me) or with the entire Tern User Base (Tern Community)
To share a photo to either of these tabs, click the 3 dots on an individual photo and click 'Edit Sharing Settings'
You can then share individually via email or toggle settings to share with an agency (will show under Shared with Me for all agency members) or with the Tern Community.
Adding to activities
Via the Media tab on activities, you can click "Add from library" to add your personal photos to items within your itineraries
Select the photo(s) you'd like and click "Add photos"
