For advisors
Global search: Global search offers a universal search bar that allows advisors to quickly find information in Tern on trips (e.g., confirmation numbers, trip names, and primary traveler info) and contacts from a single place.

Variable deposits in room options for lodging: Advisors can now configure room types and options within a single lodging item with variable deposits, enabling more customizable accommodation planning in itineraries and prompting clients to make decisions and approve payment authorization at the same time.

Reporting: Improvements to advanced reporting provide details on sales and number of nights booked by property, location filters drill down into sales data by location, and the ability to save views to easily return to later.

Photo gallery: Tern is excited to announce the launch of Personal Photo Libraries! Each user now has access to a comprehensive photo management system to organize, upload, and apply their own uploaded images across their travel itineraries.

AI assist: Advisors can further streamline trip planning with improved AI assist features, allowing you to describe activities in any format, pull in details directly from your email, and fill in itineraries instantly. Tern also cross-references our existing database of hotels and lodging to provide you with the most relevant media and details with no manual effort.

New Giata Lodging Matching: Tern now automatically attempts to match all lodging - whether uploaded or typed - to the correct GIATA property with high confidence, enabling advisors to build trips faster, more accurate, and image-rich property details. This ensures travelers consistently receive the right information on their stays.
New Parsing Upgrade: This upgrade delivers significantly more robust PDF extractions when using our AI Assist - resulting in better preservation of detailed content from uploads (letting advisors specific details shine through)
Itinerary PDF download: Improvements to PDF downloads allow for better formatting, resulting in cleaner, more professional-looking client documents that can be accessed when clients are offline or internet connectivity is limited.

Pixabay to Unsplash: Based on user feedback of Tern’s previous stock photo library partner, we’ve updated our offering to Unsplash - which we’ve found to have a very high quality and breadth of travel photos.
Receipts & documents on trips: Trip-related documents and receipts now have improved organization, formatting, and accessibility, making it easier for advisors and clients to retrieve and manage files.

For agencies
Agency dashboard: Our new centralized dashboard gives agencies a clearer, more streamlined view of key business activity and performance in one place. Get quick access to operational data and dig into the details of bookings, sales volume, commission, agency income, and more.
Agency commissions and payout notifications: The commissions system now allows agency owners to send a payout email to each of their advisors, including payout amounts and a link directly to the statements in Tern, providing advisors clearer visibility into their individual earnings instantly.

Managed agency contacts: Enhancements to managed contacts streamline how agencies organize and share client information, giving more visibility and security to the agency owner for owned contacts while making the process to do so more efficient with automated settings when adding new contacts.

Project expedition partnership: We’ve rolled out a new beta integration with Project Expedition, allowing advisors to search for and book tours from this partner directly in Tern without leaving the application or parsing details about the tour manually.

Host <> sub agency model: We’re working on building capabilities for host agencies in Tern.

Insurance partner integration: We’re introducing an integration with five insurance partners that will make it faster and easier to offer and place travel insurance for your travelers without leaving Tern. Partner launches will roll out over the next six months.
