Ask AI Chat to draft a personalized email using everything it knows about your client — their form responses, past trips, preferences, and your writing style.
How it works
AI Chat can read your client's form responses, past trip history, call notes, and CRM details to write an outbound email that feels like it came from you — not a template. The AI writes the draft, you review it, and nothing sends until you approve.
How to use it
Open AI Chat while on any trip or contact record and ask:
"Can you use the information about the clients and their form to draft a personalized note to them?"
"Draft a follow-up email to the Johnsons based on what we discussed in our last call"
"Write a proposal intro email for the Smith Italy trip"
The AI composes the subject line, recipients, and full body. A preview card appears in the chat — review, edit, then approve to send.
Sending to several people, CC, and BCC
AI Chat can send to more than one contact, and it can CC or BCC people. Tell it who to include when you ask it to send. For example:
"Send this to both travelers and CC my colleague"
"Email the Johnsons and BCC me"
When you send to several people, you can choose how it goes out:
One shared thread: everyone is on the same email and can see each other. Ask AI Chat to send one email to everyone.
Separate emails: each person gets their own private copy. This is the default when there is more than one recipient.
CC, BCC, and the shared thread option all require a connected email account. If your email is not connected, AI Chat sends a separate email to each recipient.
What the AI draws from
Client form responses (trip preferences, travel style, interests)
Past trip history and destinations
Notes from previous calls or interactions
Your personal writing style (set up in Settings > Branding)
Requirements
You can send emails from AI Chat whether or not your email account is connected. If your email is not connected, messages go out from Tern on your behalf, the same as other emails you send from Tern. Connecting your email account under Settings unlocks CC, BCC, and sending one shared thread to several recipients.
