The campaign editor is a drag-and-drop builder for creating branded marketing emails.
How to Create a Campaign
Go to Emails, open the Campaigns tab, and select New campaign.
Choose a starting point. Start from a blank campaign, pick a starter layout (Newsletter or Announcement), or select Choose from library to start from one of your saved templates. Then select Create campaign.
In the editor, enter a Campaign name. This name is for your reference and isn't shown to recipients. You also set the Subject line, Segment, and Send time at the top of the editor.
How the Editor Is Structured
Your email is built from three nested pieces:
Sections are the horizontal bands of your email.
Columns divide a section into 1 to 3 side-by-side areas.
Blocks are the content you drop into a column.
There are four block types:
Text: rich text. You can insert personalization variables.
Image: upload an image.
Button: a labeled button with a link.
Branded Header: shows your business logo, or your business name if you haven't set a logo.
How to Add and Edit Content
From the Add panel on the right, drag a layout (1, 2, or 3 columns) or an element (Branded header, Text, Image, or Button) into your email.
Click any block to select it. Its edit form opens in the right sidebar. You can also select any section, column, or block from the Layers panel on the left.
Edit the content. Your changes autosave as you work.
How to Style Your Campaign
Your campaign starts with a theme (colors and fonts) based on your brand settings.
Change the theme from the Styles panel to set accent color, fonts, and backgrounds for the whole email.
Override a single section or block by selecting it and adjusting its own styles. You can clear an override to return it to the theme.
Switch between desktop and mobile preview to see how your email looks on each.
Reset to brand styles to copy your current brand colors and fonts back onto the theme.
Note: Changing your brand settings later does not change campaigns you've already created.
Working with Templates
Templates are reusable designs you save to your library.
Save as template: from the ... menu on a campaign (in your Campaigns list or at the top of the editor), select Save as template.
Apply a template: in the ... menu at the top of the editor, select Apply template to replace the current design with a template's design.
Make a copy: select Copy to my templates to save your own editable copy of a template. This option appears in the ... menu of templates someone shared with you (Library, then Campaigns, then the Shared with Me tab).
Share a template with collaborators: open the template from Library, then Campaigns, and select Share. Your saved templates live in Library, then Campaigns, on the My Templates tab.
Note: Applying a template replaces your campaign's current sections, columns, and blocks. Your campaign name, audience, and send time are kept.
Templates are designs only. A template can't be sent. To send, create a campaign from it.
