Overview

Option blocks are a unique and powerful way to share itinerary options with your clients, and allow them to select which activities they prefer. For example - you could provide 3 different hotel options for a stay in Costa Rica.

We've been listening to your feedback around how they can be improved, and have recently made the following enhancements:

  • Advisors can ‘reset selection’ of options

  • It's clearer to clients how they submit their preferences

  • Instead of you having to manually resolve an option block, the following things now happen as soon as your client submits their selection -

    • Their itinerary updates automatically (itinerary & overview tabs)

    • They can authorize their selected option immediately

    • The trip pricing tab is immediately updated to reflect the selection

  • And don't worry - the option block is still preserved on your side, so you can see what selection your client made / preserve the other options you added. You can choose to resolve the option block from there, if you'd like!

Advisors - resetting option block selection

You'll see a new 'clear selection' button to reset a selection your client has made. If you select it, they'll see the regular options on their itinerary again.

Client experience updates

Previously, clients had to click 'approve trip' or 'request trip edits' in order for their option block selections to show up on your side.

Now, after your client selects a preference -

Their 'next step' panel will update to prompt them to submit their preference.

Previously, you had to manually resolve any option block before that option was reflected on your client's itinerary, list of available credit card authorizations, and trip pricing.

Now, after you client selects and submits a preference, they will see that option immediately reflected...

1. On their itinerary

2. On the daily overview

3. Available for authorization (as long as you included all the necessary details to make this option 'ready for authorization' before their selection was made

4. Reflected on trip pricing

Advisors - reviewing option block selection

After you client makes a selection, you will -

  1. Get an email letting you know a selection has been made

  2. Review the selection they made, with the other options preserved. From there if you'd like to resolve the option block you can - and this won't impact anything on the client side / change the authorization status.
