Using the 'Help' tab in Tern

Using the top navigation in Tern, you'll always have access to the 'Help' tab which will take you to the:

  1. Contact Support

  2. Help Center

  3. Tern & Learn (video trainings & recorded live trainings)

  4. Submit Feedback

Tern & Learn course progress

Your Tern & Learn progress is saved locally on your browser. This means your progress is tied to the specific browser and device you use - it is not linked to your Tern account. If you open Tern & Learn and don't see your previous progress, it doesn't mean you aren't logged in. It simply means you're using a different browser or device than the one where you originally completed the courses.


Because progress is stored locally, clearing your browser's cache or data will reset it. Unfortunately, progress can't be restored once cleared.

The good news is there are no prerequisites - you can start any course in any order, so feel free to jump straight to the topics that matter most to you.


FAQ

Is my course progress saved?

Your Tern & Learn progress is saved locally on your browser. This means your progress is tied to the specific browser and device you use. If you switch to a different device or browser, your progress won't carry over - but don't worry, you can pick up any course from where you left off.


Do I need to complete courses in order?

Nope! You can start any course in any order. There are no prerequisites, so feel free to jump straight to the topics that matter most to you.


Why did my course progress disappear?

If your progress has reset, it's likely because your browser's local storage was cleared. This can happen if you or your browser automatically clears cached data. Unfortunately, progress can't be restored once cleared, but you're welcome to retake any course at any time.


Can I access Tern & Learn on multiple devices?

Yes - Tern & Learn is available on any device through the Help tab. Just keep in mind that your progress is tracked per device and browser, so it won't sync across them.

Why does Tern & Learn show a login button if I'm already logged in?

If you've reached Tern & Learn through the Help tab in your Tern dashboard, you're already logged in. You may notice a login button in the top right corner of the Tern & Learn page - please ignore it. Clicking it will simply loop you through the login process again unnecessarily.

If you don't see your previous course progress, this does not mean you need to log in again. You're most likely using a different device or browser, or your browser's cache was cleared since you last completed those courses.
