What it does
When you add, update, or remove an activity or booking on a trip, Tern sends that change to Signature within a minute or two. The reservation appears on the contact's Signature profile in Tern and in SigNet, where Signature uses it to power marketing experiences for that client.
The sync happens in the background. No action is required on your end.
Before sync will work
For a trip's activities and bookings to sync to Signature, all three of these must be true:
Your agency's Signature integration is active
Your advisor profile is linked to your Signature account
At least one traveler on the trip is matched to their Signature record
If any one of these is missing, the trip's activities will not sync.
How to confirm a contact is synced
Open the contact in Tern.
Go to the Signature tab. You'll see the last synced date, Signature preferences, marketing preferences, and a Reservations section. Any reservations created from this contact's trips will appear here.
How to create a booking that syncs
Open a trip with at least one Signature-matched traveler.
Go to the itinerary and add an activity or booking (for example, a hotel). Give it a name.
Go to Booking and Pricing on the activity.
Enter a price. A price is required for the booking to sync.
Add the supplier and confirmation number.
Fill in the Signature fields at the bottom if relevant to your booking:
Signet offer ID
Use for client reach toggle
Mark the activity as booked and set the booked date. The reservation date in Signature is driven by the booked date.
You'll know it worked when
The reservation appears in the contact's Signature tab in Tern within a minute or two. To double-check in SigNet, search for the contact in Trip Manager. The reservation will show the trip name, category, vendor, and trip status.
Common issues
The reservation isn't showing up in Signature. Wait a minute or two and refresh. If it still doesn't appear, confirm all three sync requirements are met: the agency integration is active, your advisor profile is linked to Signature, and the traveler is matched to their Signature record.
The reservation date is missing in Signature. The reservation date is driven by the activity's booked date. Mark the activity as booked and set the booked date.
