Ask AI Chat to build a packing list from the details of a trip. It reads the itinerary and produces a structured, trip-specific list so you don't start from a generic template.

When you ask AI Chat for a packing list on a trip, it reads the itinerary before writing: the destinations, the travel dates and season, each planned activity, and the travelers on the trip. It uses that to build a list where the non-obvious items trace back to something real on the trip, like water shoes for a planned cenote swim or layers for a mountain leg.

The finished list is added to the trip as an Info activity, so it ships with the itinerary.

Open AI Chat while viewing a trip, then ask for a packing list. Any of these work:

The AI confirms which trip it's working from, then produces a list organized by category: documents and money, clothing, footwear, toiletries and health, electronics, activity gear, and miscellaneous. Items that are specific to the trip include a short reason.

You can refine the list after it generates. For example: "Add snorkeling gear" or "Make it more concise."

The trip planning sidebar also has a "Draft packing list" quick action. This is a faster, lighter option that is not the same as asking in AI Chat.

Note: The quick action uses only the trip name and dates. It does not read individual activities, travelers, or form responses, so its list is more general.

If you want a list tailored to specific activities, travelers, or intake-form details, use AI Chat instead of the button.
