No. Bookings through Hotels by Tern don't count toward consortium sales, volume commitments, or attribution today. This includes Virtuoso, Signature, and Ensemble.

Will My Client Get Consortium or Hotel Program Amenities from Hotels by Tern?
Some rates in Tern include their own inclusions and amenities like breakfast, and these show on the rate before you book. However, consortium preferred program or a hotel program amenities are not included in Hotels by Tern since those bookings go through Tern, not those programs.
Is Tern a Preferred Partner?
Tern isn't a preferred partner with any consortium yet. For consortium purposes, Tern is a non-preferred supplier today.
Tern is working toward preferred status. Tern has reached out to all the major consortia. Each consortium adds partners on its own process and timeline, so Tern doesn't share a date for preferred status.
Will we get hotel program credit and amenities?
Hotels by Tern can't apply your agency's own hotel agreements today. This includes negotiated rates and perks your agency arranged directly with a hotel. Book those stays through the channel your agreement uses.
Tern is looking at ways to highlight your agency's preferred hotels in search.
Can We Hide Program or Preferred Brands From Tern Search?
Not at launch. Program hotels, consortium preferred hotels, and hotels where your agency has its own agreement can appear in Tern search. Share guidance with your advisors on which hotels to book through your usual channels.
What Tern Is Working Toward
Tern is working toward preferred status with consortia and direct connections with hotels, so Hotels by Tern bookings can earn consortium and hotel program credit. We do not have a confirmed date for either.
Is Tern Signing Direct Contracts With Hotels?
Tern is working toward direct hotel partnerships. At launch, Tern buys Hotels by Tern inventory at wholesale net rates. Tern is adding more sources, including direct hotel partnerships, and doesn't share dates for specific partnerships.
Tern's long-term goal is direct credit for your agency on hotels booked through Tern.
