If your traveler needs to create a Tern account, they should sign up directly from the itinerary, skipping the "traveler" option. Tern assumes they are a traveler if they're viewing the itinerary. If they aren't prompted to set up a subscription, they're on the right track. If an incorrect account type is created, they can contact Tern support to correct it.
