Every Hotels by Tern price includes 24/7 support for you and your client, starting October 26, 2026. Prices can differ from the hotel's own website. Tern is sometimes the cheapest option and won't be every time. Our goal is the best value for your clients. We're working to add more direct hotel partnerships that improve that value. You can help by asking the BDMs at your top hotels to work with Tern.

A Tern price includes the room, taxes and fees, your commission, card processing, and 24/7 support.

Tern buys rooms at wholesale net rates and adds a markup, the same way every bed bank does. The markup pays for 24/7 support, card processing, and the booking experience. Tern also adds your commission to the price and manages it for you, and pays your agency the Friday after your client checks out of the hotel.

Fees paid at the hotel (due at property). Some hotels charge fees that are collected at the property. Tern shows these separately from the price. Your client pays them directly to the hotel.

Currency. Hotels by Tern prices and charges are in USD, even if your trip uses another currency. We want to add more currencies over time. If the hotel's website shows a different currency, the exchange rate can account for part of the difference.

Hotels distribute many different rates, and the price for the same room can vary widely. Each rate comes with its own terms. Breakfast, cancellation policy, and room type all change the price. The rate on a hotel's website may carry different terms than the rate in Tern.

Some prices in Tern will be lower than the hotel's own website, and some will be higher. We monitor these gaps and prioritize those hotels for partnerships that bring better rates.
