Overview

We have made a few changes to how activity statuses work in Tern, to make things more intuitive for trip planning!

Marking activities as 'booked' with our new experience will be important once we roll out our new advisor commission & reporting dashboards (coming in a few weeks), so we definitely encourage checking out this article!

Old Experience

Previously, we had this 'status' toggle per activity (which the majority of our advisors weren't using).

New Experience

All activities will start in a 'planning' status

On the booking & pricing tab, as you fill out commission and booking details, you'll see a new button to 'Mark as Booked'

After clicking 'mark as booked' you'll see a review modal to make sure key details are correct.

The status will then update automatically to 'booked' in the booking details & at the top of your activity

If you'd like to change the booking date or status, you can do so by selecting 'edit booking' from the same spot

You'll then be able to toggle this activity to 'canceled' (or change the booking date).

We have removed the 'completed' status entirely, because that is tracked more at a trip level (and very few activities had this status).

Activities you have already added

We will maintain the status of your old activities, with the exception of 'completed'.
