Enhancing your itinerary with videos is a great way to showcase accommodations and add a professional touch to your presentations. Follow these easy steps to add a YouTube video link directly into your room description, creating a more engaging and interactive experience for your clients.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Access the General Info Tab

    • Go to the itinerary and select the specific room or cabin you want to update, such as the Veranda Stateroom on the Viking Helmship.

    • Click on the General Info tab for that room.

  2. Decide Where to Add the YouTube Video Link

    • You can add the link in either the lodging description or the room assignment description.

    • For this demonstration, we’ll be adding the link in the general info section.

  3. Add the YouTube Video Link

    • Copy the link of your YouTube video.

    • Paste the link into the general info section of the room description.

    • Once pasted, the link will automatically generate a preview image of the YouTube video.

  4. Preview the Updated Itinerary

    • Return to the main itinerary screen and click Publish to save your changes.

    • Use the preview option to view the updated itinerary as your clients would see it.

  5. See the Client Experience

    • In Preview mode, find the room or cabin you updated (e.g., Veranda Stateroom).

    • Click Learn More to view the room details. The YouTube video will now be visible, allowing clients to watch the video directly within the itinerary.

Benefits

  • Enhanced Client Experience: Clients can view videos of the room directly within the itinerary, providing a richer, more informative experience.

  • No Distractions: Videos play within the itinerary, keeping clients engaged without redirecting them to external sites like YouTube.

  • Professional Presentation: Adding videos showcases the accommodations more dynamically, making your itineraries stand out.

Conclusion

Adding a YouTube video link to your room descriptions is a simple yet powerful way to enhance your itineraries. It provides additional value to your clients and makes the overall presentation more interactive and visually appealing. Give it a try and impress your clients with a more immersive experience!
