We’ve introduced a new setting to make it easier to manage lodging activity templates that include many room options. This update gives you more flexibility and saves time when building itineraries.
What Changed
Previously, when you pulled a lodging activity template into a trip, all rooms in that template were automatically added. If the lodging activity template had 20 rooms, all 20 appeared in the itinerary, even if only a few were relevant. That often meant extra work: deleting unnecessary rooms or creating multiple separate lodging activities.
Now, you can control whether rooms are added automatically or select only the ones that make sense for your client. This new flexibility lets you:
Keep itineraries clean and relevant.
Save time by avoiding extra deletions.
Present only the most appropriate room options to clients.
How It Works
When editing a lodging activity template, you’ll see a new setting:
Automatically add all rooms when using this template
By default, this setting is turned on for existing templates.
You can turn it off if you’d prefer to choose specific rooms each time you use the template.
Example
You create a hotel lodging activity with 20 rooms.
If the Automatically add all rooms setting is on, all 20 rooms will appear when you add that template to a trip.
If the Automatically add all rooms setting is off, none of the rooms will be added automatically, you can pick and choose the ones you want to include.
This means you can, for example, only bring over 3 out of 20 rooms, complete with their descriptions and pricing, instead of overwhelming your itinerary with unnecessary options.
Step-by-Step
Go to your lodging activity template.
Open the Rooms tab.
Look for the setting: Automatically add all rooms when using this template.
Toggle the setting off if you’d like to select rooms manually.
Save your changes.
When you next add the template to a trip:
With the setting off → you’ll be prompted to select only the rooms you want.
With the setting on → all rooms will automatically be added to the itinerary.
