How to access your itinerary on mobile

The Tern for Travelers mobile app allows you to easily access your trip itinerary on the go.

How to Download the App:

Follow these simple steps to download the app:

  • iOS Users: Follow this link or search for "Tern for Travelers" in the App Store to "Download" and install the app.

  • Android Users: Follow this link or search for "Tern for Travelers" in the Google Play Store to "Download" and install the app.


How to Log In:

Since your trip itinerary may contain sensitive personal information like passport numbers and confirmation numbers, you need to log in in order to see your trip details.

If you’ve already created a Tern traveler account, simply log in using your email confirmation code, email and password, or sign in with Google.

Need to create an account? Create a traveler account using the email you shared with your travel advisor in the mobile app. Make sure you complete the signup flow by confirming your email address!

  • Can I use Tern without a travel advisor?

    • Since Tern is designed to enhance your travel experience with the support of a travel advisor, you must be working with a travel advisor to use the mobile app. Ensure to sign up with the email shared with your advisor to access your trip plans.

  • How do I view my trip itinerary?

    • Once logged in, select your upcoming trip to view your complete itinerary. For activity details, tap an activity to pull up its full details.

    • Not seeing your trip? Reach out to your travel advisor to ensure they’ve shared it with the correct email address.

  • How can I contact my travel advisor through the app?

    • You can connect with your travel advisor by tapping the phone or message button in the app.

  • Can I download my itinerary to view when I don’t have internet access?

    • If your client has the Tern for Travelers app, we automatically download content to their phone, and make it accessible when they lose access to data/wifi. Traveler Mobile App: Offline Access

  • My client is getting an "Signup_type" error when trying to create their account in the Tern for Travelers app. What's going on?

    • This is a backend issue with how the account was initially set up. Specifically, a required field called signup_type is missing from your client's account record. Because of this, the app can't complete the signup process.

  • How do I get my client past this error?

    • Have your client create their account through a mobile browser instead of the app. Here's how:

    1. Share the itinerary or trip link with your client as you normally would.

    2. Your client opens that link in a mobile browser: Safari or Chrome works fine, just not the Tern app itself.

    3. They enter their email address when prompted.

    4. They'll receive a verification email with a 6-digit code. Have them type the code in manually rather than clicking the link in the email. This is especially important for Hotmail or Outlook addresses.

    5. They enter their first and last name to finish setting up the account.
