How to Save and Download an Itinerary as a PDF

Introduction:

Enable your clients to download their travel itinerary as a PDF for easy offline access. This feature is particularly useful for those times when internet connectivity is limited. The downloadable PDF includes a cover page, detailed descriptions of all activities, and all PDF attachments, ensuring your clients have all the necessary information at their fingertips.

Enabling PDF Downloads:

  1. Access the Trip Overview: Go to the trip's Overview tab in your Tern dashboard.

  2. Activate PDF Downloads: Locate the "Allow PDF Downloads" toggle on the right side of the Overview page, and switch it on.

  3. Publish Your Trip: Remember to publish or update your trip to activate the PDF download feature for your clients.

How to Download a PDF:

  1. Navigate to the Itinerary: Clients with Full Access can find the "Save as PDF" button on the right side of the top navigation bar within their trip itinerary.

  2. Generate the PDF: Click the "Save as PDF" button to prompt Tern to prepare a downloadable PDF of the itinerary.

  3. Download the File: Once the PDF is ready, a "Download" button will appear. Click this button to save the PDF to your device.

Additional Notes:

  • Image Limitations: Please note that the PDF will include only one image per activity to maintain a balance between detail and file size.

  • Attachment Inclusion: Only PDF-type attachments will be included in the downloaded file.
