Adding a drink package to a cruise quote can enhance your travelers' experience, giving them the option to enjoy beverages throughout their journey. If you have a trip with multiple travelers and want to offer each one the ability to choose a drink package, there are three methods you can use.

Method 1: Individual Drink Package Options all in one trip.

This is ideal if you want to include drink package options for multiple travelers, across multiple cabins all in one Tern trip. Let's pretend you have seven adults in separate cabins, each of whom you want to gather their drink package preference.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Add Individual Options Blocks:

    • Create seven different options blocks, one for each traveler.

    • Name each block for the individual traveler, e.g., "Drink Package Option - Joe Smith".

  2. Notify Travelers:

    • Inform each traveler that they need to select "yes" or "no" on their individual drink package option section.

  3. Use the "skip" button on the authorization tab:

    • Inform each traveler that they need to skip the Authorization item that doesn't have their name in the title.

Example

Traveler Name

Option Block Name

Action Required

Joe Smith

Drink Package Option - Joe Smith

Joe selects "yes" or "no"

Jane Doe

Drink Package Option - Jane Doe

Jane selects "yes" or "no"

This method allows each traveler to make their choice within a single trip itinerary, making it easy for you to manage.

Method 2: Use option blocks to Include Drink Package in Cabin pricing.

This is ideal if you want to include drink package options within a cabin/lodging activity, and use an option block to present multiple package options. A great choice if you already know that cabin category that your client wants to choose, and all you need confirmation on are the extras/packages.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Add "Cabin and Packages" Option Block

  2. Create one lodging activity for a cabin priced with no packages.

  3. Create an additional lodging activity for a cabin priced with a drink package

    • Create additional lodging activities for more drink package options.

  4. If creating an option block for multiple travelers, remember to name each block for the individual traveler, e.g., "Cabin and packages Option - Joe Smith".

Method 3: Duplicate Trip Itineraries

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Create a Master Trip:

    • Add one drink package options block to the master trip.

  2. Duplicate the Trip:

    • Duplicate the master trip seven times, creating individual itineraries for each traveler.

  3. Assign Trips:

    • Assign each duplicated trip to a specific traveler.

Example

Traveler Name

Trip Itinerary

Drink Package Option

Action Required

Joe Smith

Trip Itinerary - Joe Smith

Yes/No

Joe selects "yes" or "no"

Jane Doe

Trip Itinerary - Jane Doe

Yes/No

Jane selects "yes" or "no"

This method can help with payment authorizations, as each traveler will have their own trip and authorization, keeping everything organized and tidy.
